Description: This
position will work closely with the benefits
consulting staff, senior staff actuaries, and
retirement practice colleagues on a wide range of
pension actuarial assignments and special projects.
Specifically, this position will be responsible for
reviewing and preparing funding/solvency/actuarial and
accounting valuations under FASB-87, regulatory
filings, forecast valuations, commuted value
calculations, new group studies, terminating group
studies, plan design costing, and various other
actuarial projects. In addition, this position
provides project management, technical guidance,
training, and mentoring to more junior staff members.
Candidates for this position should have strong
analytical, attention to detail, organization,
communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills
with the ability to work both independently and
collaboratively. Significant progress towards ASA/FSA
or ASPPA requirement and 2+ years of pension actuarial
experience required.
